WORSHIP

mORNING wORSHIPWe gather for worship each week on Sunday

10:45 in the morning

6:30 in the evening

We worship in different ways. The traditional services are morning worship, evening worship and holy communion. In addition we run parade services, all age worship services and cafe worship services. Occasionaly on Saturday mornings we run Messy Church. This is a themed craft morning with a story.

Once a month we hold a Seeds Of Change Service, which starts with a faith tea at 6.00 p.m. followed by a short act of worship. After this the worshippers split into groups to discuss the way forward for the church.

Check the Calendar  for the type of service and additional services.

The church is fitted with a loop system. To use this facility switch your hearing aid to the "T" position.

After morning service we invite you to join us for coffee and conversation in Room 2, when we can get to know each other a little better.

If you would like to comment on the service we would welcome your views. Please complete our Worship Evaluation form.

During Advent (the time running up to Christmas) we have a number of special services which includes Service Of LightGift Service, The Service Of The Longest Night, and Christingle Service.

On the first Sunday in January we hold a Covenant Service which is a special holy communion service. During this service we renew our covenant with God by making special promises.

During Lent (the time running up to Easter Sunday) we also have special services. On Maundy Thursday we take part in a special Communion Service, on Good Friday we hold a Tenebrae Service and on Easter Sunday we take part in an early morning Communion Service followed by breakfast and a service at 10.45 a.m. and 6.30 p.m.. These services are shared with Bents Green Methodist Church. Check the Calendar for the time and venue.

In the Autumn we participate in the Back To Church Sunday. We also celebrate the gifts God has given us on Harvest Sunday and remember those in the world who are less fortunate. Instead of bringing the traditional gifts of fruit and flowers, we bring breakfast cereals and other processed food for the Archer Project which provides breakfast for the homeless.
